Guide to Install Skyload Extension in Chrome Browser

You can install the Skyload extension outside of the Chrome Web Store and use it without restrictions. Download Skyload extension for free

After installing the Skyload extension yourself, downloading videos from Youtube will be available again!

1. Open your Chrome browser

A Google account must be connected in the browser. Your account avatar should be displayed at the top right.

2. Open the "Settings"

Click the "Three dots" icon in the browser header.

Select "Settings".

3. Installing the Skyload extension

On the left side of the screen, click the "Extensions" button.

At the top right of the screen, switch the slider to "Developer Mode".

Note: You can drag the archive with the extension directly onto the page into the current browser window and it will automatically install. But there is a second way, which is described below.

Unpack the archive with the extension and click the "Load unpacked" button.

In the pop-up window (Windows Explorer) select the folder with the unpacked archive and click the "Select folder" button.

The extension is installed.

6. Add the Skyload extension icon to the extensions panel

At the top of your browser, click on the "Puzzle" icon.

In the pop-up list of extensions, find the Skyload icon and next to it, click the "Pin" icon.

After the "Pin" icon is active (blue color) - the Skyload icon will be displayed in the Chrome extensions panel.

7. How to download music or video using Skyload extension

Go to the site where you want to download music or video. Refresh the page. The extensions panel (in the browser header) will display the Skyload icon and the indicator (numbers) of the number of files to download.

Click on the Skyload icon.

In the extension window, select the file you want to download and click on the "Three dots" icon.

Click the Download button.

8. Optional

If you install an extension yourself, updates will not come automatically. Thus, if music or video is not downloaded, you need to contact support and report it.

When the developers of the Skyload extension fix the errors, a new extension file will be published, which will need to be installed instead of the current one, and the current one removed.

Install the extension yourself if it is not available in the Chrome web store.
