What are the Differences Between Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab?

There are many differences between inpatient and outpatient rehab.

Inpatient treatment is usually longer (3–6 weeks). It's offered by facilities that have more resources, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses. Inpatient rehab is more intense because it's designed to help you with the underlying causes of your addiction.

Outpatient Rehab Austin care is typically a day program focused on helping you with your recovery from addiction. Outpatient programs offer a variety of services including counseling, support groups, exercise classes, and education about how drugs affect the brain and body, and how to stay sober.

Some people prefer one type of program over another based on their needs or what their insurance covers. If you're unsure which kind of rehab will work best for you, talk to your doctor or therapist about what would be best for your situation.
