Why is a UV Camera lens Used in Several Industries?

UV camera lenses capture images in the ultraviolet (UV) spectrum of light, ranging from 100 to 400 nanometers. These UV camera lenses are opposite of the standard lenses. As standard lenses can block UV light, a UV Camera Lens transmits it to the sensor of the camera. This allows the photographer to take images that reveal details and patterns. That is not usually seen in normal light conditions.

These lenses contain the materials quartz or calcium fluoride. Which would permit some UV light to pass. This system also employs a filter so that visible and infrared light is not captured in the image. While only ultraviolet light is captured.
